Asheboro, February 28, 2008 – Republican candidate for NC Attorney General, Bob Crumley, filed today for election.

“The citizens of North Carolina deserve new leadership.  It is time for us to elect an Attorney General who understands the challenges we are facing and who will focus on solving problems, not playing politics,” stated Crumley upon filing.

Having practiced law for more than 20 years, Bob Crumley is a seasoned attorney with experience in every level of the judicial system. Bob is also a businessman who understands the needs and concerns of our state’s business community. As a licensed real estate broker and owner of an environmental restoration and recycling business, Bob works to balance the demands of a growing state while preserving its natural resources.

As a community leader, Bob believes in giving back to the community.  From serving on the board of directors for three boards across the state, to his work in promoting education for high school and community college students, Bob is actively engaged in improving his community by promoting educational opportunities and leadership development among the state’s citizens.

Bob met his wife, Teresa, at the North Carolina Republican State Convention in 1977. Since then, the Crumley family has had an active involvement in political and public service. Bob and Teresa have been married for nearly 30 years and have two daughters.

“We are really, truly blessed to call North Carolina home.  However, the greatness of our state is being challenged.  As we continue to grow, we face new challenges which require new leadership.  I want to lead a new generation of state leaders whose experiences in life are founded outside government.  The greatness of our state comes from its people, not its government.  We need leaders who understand the difference and who are committed to leading our state in a new direction.”
